Just South of downtown Los Angeles, nestled in the Exposition Park just of Figueroa Blvd., you will find the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This stadium has hosted some of the most memorable events which you may remember, most notably the 1932 and 1984 Olympics. As the long-time home of the USC Trojans, this building has also seen many award-winning performances.

Since the Rams have returned to Los Angeles and are waiting for their new stadium to be built, the Rams will be calling the Coliseum home. As the Coliseum opens their doors to football fans, in and around Los Angeles, for another season, they will also be introducing new dishes for all the fans and legendary visitors in attendance to enjoy.

Legends Executive Chef at the Los Angeles Coliseum, John Brenning has unveiled some “new concepts” for fans and patrons to relish in. Through in-depth analytical research and guest feedback, John and his teams of chef are looking to encapsulate the various tastes of Los Angeles, with their new and modified creations. These new concepts range from the very simple chips and salsa to creative ways to carry and eat your food.

A few of the new concepts include Guacamole and chips, Island Style Stand Poke Bowl and Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, LA Hot Chicken Sandwich (sold as hot and super-hot), Carolina Pork and Brisket sandwich, Pork and Tamales, lastly a cooked to order ½ Angus burger will be available for the Coliseum patrons to enjoy.

Growing up as a picky eater, John’s love for cooking grew through his grandmother cooking. This southern California kid has come full circle, from attending games at the Coliseum to now cooking for the hundreds of thousands of fans which will be attending games there this season. After tasting the new food concepts, they prepared, I can understand their intention of wanting to make eating at the games a must while you are there enjoying the games.

Additionally, they will have new team gear available at the team store, at gate #28 of the Coliseum. In conjunction with New Era, Stance, and the 47 Brand they will have stadium exclusive apparel for their patrons at 16 locations in and around the Coliseum on game day. Some of the new apparel is meant to match the vibe, feel and spirit of the local fans.

Be sure to try the new dishes they have for you when you go to support our local teams at the Coliseum.
