Dodgers Are Still Doing it Right
By Earl Heath, Contributing Sports Writer
One of the biggest ways in baseball to win a pennant is to win at home and play .500 on the road. The L.A. Dodgers are 10-10 on the road and 17-6 (at Press time) at Dodger Stadium.
They have a four game lead over the Padres and Diamondbacks. Cody Bellinger is one of the main reasons. He’s the NL leader in batting (.407), slugging percentage (.772), on base percentage (.486), runs scored 937), and total bases (112). He’s also 2nd with 7 stolen bases.
After a slow start Justin Turner has upped his average to 299.Turner had 5 home runs in 2 games last week.
On the pitching side Hyn-Jin Ryu has a 5-1 record to go with a 1.72 era and has won 8 of his last 11 starts at Dodger Stadium.
