Ben Crump Law Will Continue to Seek Justice for Wronged Individuals With New Sacramento Office
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With the aim of more effective activism to promote individual and social justice in America, renowned civil rights advocate and personal injury attorney Ben Crump is announcing the launch of a new Northern California office. Prominent Sacramento attorney Mark T. Harris will lead the newest office of Ben Crump Law PLLC, which is well known for its work representing the families of victims of police violence including Stephon Clark and Pamela Turner, among others.
“Establishing an office in Sacramento is a testament to our commitment to justice on a national scale,” Crump said. “Sadly, there is no shortage of discrimination cases in Northern California, from the Bay Area to the capital and beyond, including the recent police shooting death of Stephon Clark. Attorney Harris is a welcome addition to our team and will continue to spur progress toward real change.”
The new Sacramento office kicked off its work with a case that garnered national interest involving law enforcement placing a bag over the head of a 12-year-old boy while he was being detained. He has also worked with local leaders in the Sacramento area on cases including the shooting of Joseph Mann.
Harris founded the Law Enforcement Accountability Directive (L.E.A.D.), an African American community group that formed following Mann’s untimely death. He is a member of the Executive Committee for the California-Hawaii Conference of the NAACP and chair of the Legal Redress Committee. Formerly, Harris served as member of the California Fair Employment and Housing Council appointed by former California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr.
With Harris at the helm, Ben Crump Law’s Sacramento office will focus on civil rights, wrongful death cases, personal injury, employment law, and medical malpractice, as well as mass torts and class actions.
“With the opening of Ben Crump Law in Sacramento, the pursuit of justice has been extended to the residents of Central and Northern California,” Harris said. “I am excited to be in position to expand the platinum standard of legal representation associated with Attorney Ben Crump and my new colleagues.”
With the opening of its newest location, Ben Crump Law will have offices across the United States, including Sacramento and Los Angeles; Washington, D.C.; and Tallahassee, Florida. The firm is affiliated with some of the top lawyers in the nation, which allows it the ability to handle cases anywhere in the country as part of the Ben Crump Law network.
