Trojans Fight Hard

USC went into South Bend as 10 point underdogs against Notre Dame. They showed a lot of grit in fighting back from a 14 point halftime deficit before falling to the Irish 30-27.
Marqkese Stepp help lead the Trojan offense as they fought their way back. He had had 10 carries for 82 yards and it seemed he could have had more.
“Had had a bigger role tonight,” said head coach Clay Helton. “He did a wonderful job. His role got bigger.”
Stepp split time with Stephen Carr and Vavae Malapeai who rushed for a combined for 91 rushing. Trojan QB Kedon Slovis completed 24 of 35 passes for 255 yards.
He had a big second half connecting on a 38 yard pass to Amron St Brown.
The Trojans out scored the the Irish 24-10 in the second half.
Tony Jones 25 carries for 175 yards for the Irish (5-1). Ian Book completed 17 of 32 for 165 yards.
The number 11 ranked Irish takes on Michigan next.
