Rams Win Big in Atlanta

The L.A. Rams put together a solid all-around performance against the Atlanta Falcons –Coming away with a 37-10 victory in front of 71,856.
After the teams were tied 3-3 in the first period the Rams reeled off 30 straight points. The scoring began when Jarred Goff hit Todd Gurley with a 13 yard strike. “He (Gurley) and I have been working on that pass for the last three or four years” said Goff.
Gurley had sat out the previous game against San Francisco with an injury.
The rams held a 13-3 lead at halftime.
In the 3rd quarter Goff finished a 9 play 75 yard drive by hitting Gerald Everett with an 8 yard TD pass. Goff finished the day going 22 of 37 for 268 yards.
Rams newcomer Jalen Ramsey didn’t start but entered the game on the third play and made his presents felt. He forced a fumble on Falcons RB De Vonte Freeman. His main duty was to control Atlanta’s Julio Jones who had six catches for 93 yards but could not score. “I really appreciate the guys going with the game plan.” said Ramsey. “I’m not saying it wasn’t the best for them but they went out there and scrapped too.”
The defense held Falcon QB Matt Ryan to 159 yards passing and just 224 net yards on the day. That went with five sacks.
The Rams will stay in Atlanta this week and then play in London Sunday vs the Cincinnati Bengals.
