Trojans Have Tough Loss

USC started off really well vs Oregon at the Coliseum. The first two possession. They drove down the field and grabbed a 10-0 lead. Kedon Slovis hit Drake London for an 8 yard score and Chase McGrath connected on a 24 yard FG.

Then the roof fell in as Slovis fumbled recovered by Oregon and that led to a 9 play 92 yard drive capped off by a Jaylon Reed 2 yard run.  

The Trojan would beat themselves with three more turnovers and 8 penalties for 92 yards. That led to a 56-24 Ducks win.

“You can’t turn it over four times and have the penalties that we have and play that not clean of a football game and expect to win,” said Trojan Head Coach Clay Helton.

 Ducks QB Justin Herbert finished the day 21 of 26 for 225 yards. Tray dye had 12 carries for 75 yards as the Ducks (8-1, 6-0 PAC 12 ) rolled up more 380 of offense.

Slovis finished completing 32 of 57 passes for 264 yards and 3 interceptions for the Trojans (5-4, 4-2 Pac 12). Slovis surpassed Todd Marinavich single game record of 55 pass attempts.

 Tyler Vaughns had 75 receiving yards on 8 receptions. Trojans travel to ASU Saturday.
