RAMS, L.A. Regional Food Bank Team Up

The scene was set as a thousand or so Rams fans made a donation at the Global Garden located at Universal Studios.
The Rams Todd Gurley was the Honorary Chairman for the 4th annual “Taste of the Rams.” He feels its his duty to be involved.
“It feels good to help others,” said Gurley. “Throughout my life people have always helped me all along the way that’s the way I was raised its only right to help others when they need it”
A few teammates joined him including Austin Corbit, Josh Reynolds.
All proceeds go to help fight hunger in L. A. County. It’s estimated that there are 2 million people in the County who live with food insecurity. That means that 1 in 5 people who live here don’t know where there next meal is coming from.
With the system the LA Food bank and the Rams have collaborated on together one dollar feeds four people. In the last 3 years the Rams have given enough for four million meals.
“It’s not just a November, December thing,” said MCee Andrew Siciliano of the NFL Network and Redzone. “It’s something that goes on year round.”
Some of the best chefs in Los Angeles put together some of their signature meals to raise money including Kristen Thibeault of Nybil.
She is considered one of the pioneers of modern plant based food.
Since 2012 she has been a nationally recognized vegan chef. She has served over 3 million meals nationally and she is the leading authority on plant based focused food.
She brought a CRISPY Vegan Sweetbread, Herbed Goat Cheese Mousse. After tying one of course I had to have more.
“People don’t believe its vegan,” said Chef Thibeault. They can’t believe its all plant based,”
Also on hand was Chef Steve Samson the owner of Rossoblu and Superfine Pizza. In LSothern California. “this event means the world to me,” said Sampson an LA native. We have to give back one your able, the Food bank does that.”
