Anthony Davis Nets 50 in Big Home Win Versus Timberwolves

“Just keep feeding him,” was Lebron James reply after the game when asked about noticing Anthony Davis had the hot hand early. Davis, exploded for a season high 50 points Sunday night in a 142-125 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Fellow Wildcat, Karl-Anthony Towns has been having a year of career highs this season, but was no match for Davis. In 38 minutes Davis put up an efficient stat line of 50 points, 7 boards, 6 assists, 4 steals and two blocks. Kat put up a very quiet 19 and 8 effort in the battle of the Wildcats.

Lebron James found himself in unfamiliar territory early, foul trouble. He acquired his 4th personal fouls midway through the 2nd quarter, but that didn’t stop him from having an accompanying evening to Davis effort. In just 28 minutes, James finished with 32 points, 13 assists with 4 boards.

Lakers, without Avery Bradley and Rajon Rondo got great assistance off the bench at the guard spot from Alex Caruso. He added 16 points, 4 boards and 4 assists. A great defensive effort was also noticeable from Caruso as he held his own chasing around Jeff Teague and Jarret Cluver.

The Lakers move to 21-3 on the season. They embark on a 5 game road trip starting in Orlando Wednesday evening.
