Palmer came to USC out of Santa Margarita Catholic School, was a Trojan from 1998-2002, he was the first top notch QB under Pete Carrol and Pete Carroll. In Palmer’s senior season, he completed 63.2% of his passes for 3,942 yards, 33 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He was the Heisman Trophy winner after that season, the first USC QB to land the award.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will be on Dec. 7 in Las Vegas.

“I don’t think I went to USC with the goal of being a Hall of Famer. I went to USC with the goal of getting an education, playing for I think the best university and the best football program in the country. I went with the goal of winning a national championship,” Palmer stated on a Zoom call recently,  “Definitely, it never crossed my mind eventually wanting to get into the Hall of Fame.”
