After a week of hits and misses with Covid-19, activations and deactivations roster moves that included more than 30-players. They even had the game moved from Sunday to a Tuesday as the Rams came away with a 20-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks. in front of an early arriving crowd of 71,565 at So Fi Stadium.

Dealing with Covid has been going on for the past few weeks as the team was blind sided with last minute test that caused five players including Jalen Ramsey and tight end Tyler Higbee to miss the game versus the Arizona Cardinals.

Players were moving in and out of different slots all week. There were several adjustments made by players and staff. “We have to trust Sean (McVay) he’s the leader,” said Matthew Stafford. “He put a plan in place to handle this and we have to trust him.”

Stafford was 21 of 29 for 244 yards and two touchdowns to Cooper Kupp who had 9 catches for 115 yards. He became the team’s all-time leader in single season receptions pulling ahead of Tory Holt (117) and Isaac Bruce (119).

“Obviously it’s a great honor considering the receivers that have come through the organization,” said Kupp. I have so much tremendous respect for the receivers that have come before us. They have set a pretty incredible legacy and just continue to be around to be a part of this organization moving forward.”

It was also the tenth straight game Kupp totaled at least 90 yards in receptions. For his seasonal efforts he was voted to the Pro Bowl for the first time.

Sony Michel led the ground attack busting his way for 92 yards on 18 carries for a 5-yard average. The first year Ram had a 39-yard scamper and also caught a pass for 24 yards.

The Rams got help from an old friend as Jarred Goff and the Lions knocked off the Cardinals (10-4) in a big way on Sunday so that leaves the Rams (10-4) tied for the lead in the NFC west with three games left to play. They are at Minnesota, and Baltimore before finishing at SoFi against the San Francisco.

“This was a heavy week of navigating through all the things we went through,” said McVay. “This is a big-time win.

The defense only allowed Russell Wilson 134-yards passing as he completed 17 of 31 passes. He was chased around all night. He was sacked by three different Rams Leonard Floyd, Von Miller and Aaron Donald all Had one each.

It was Miller’s first sack in five games playing with the Rams-it was a nine-yard loss and one of his six on the night. Donald had his 15th career sack on Wilson.

Linebacker Ernest Jones had 11 tackles 5 of them solo to lead the team.

The return of Jalen Ramsey and Miller out due to COVID protocols. But it was Taylor Rapp with the lone interception

Of Wilson in the end zone with under a minute left that sealed the game.

RAM NOTES: Kupps 14 TD catches this season lands him in second place in franchise history behind Elroy ‘Crazy Legs” Hirsh 17 (1951).
