The legendary Mexican group Los Bukis is preparing to take its final bow, bringing “¡Tuyos Por Siempre! The Grand Closure of a Chapter” to a powerful and emotional conclusion next week at SoFi Stadium.
The Feb. 20 performance in Los Angeles follows nearly 40 sold-out stadium shows since the band’s historic reunion in 2021. For fans across generations — many of whom have made Los Bukis the soundtrack of their lives — this farewell marks more than a concert. It’s the closing of a cherished chapter.
A Full-Circle Moment
There’s deep symbolism in the band’s return to SoFi Stadium. Four years ago, Los Bukis reignited their legacy at the Inglewood venue after 25 years apart, becoming the first Latin artists to headline the stadium. That night signaled that their music — and the connection with their audience — remained as powerful as ever.
Now, they return to the same stage to close out the reunion era.
Led by Marco Antonio Solís, the group has invited fans to gather for what promises to be a celebration of gratitude, nostalgia and unity. The Houston show on Valentine’s Day and the Los Angeles finale are being billed as the only two final opportunities for fans to experience “Bukimanía” together.
“This group is like the Beatles in America,” said Sara of South Gate, a longtime fan who has followed the band for decades. “Their music never leaves you.”
Music That Transcends Generations
Since forming in the 1970s, Los Bukis have narrated love, heartbreak and hope through romantic ballads and cumbia rhythms. Their heartfelt lyrics and distinctive style have earned them numerous accolades, including Premios Lo Nuestro honors and GRAMMY Award nominations.
During their farewell shows, fans can expect an emotional journey through decades of hits, including “Quiéreme,” “Yo Te Necesito,” “Mi Najayita,” “Falso Amor,” “Ladrón de Buena Suerte,” “Morenita” and their iconic anthem, “Tu Cárcel.”
For many Southern California families — including those in the African American and Latino communities who have long shared cultural ties through music and neighborhood experiences — Los Bukis’ songs have played at weddings, backyard parties and milestone celebrations. Their influence stretches beyond borders, generations and language.
Last year, the group also made history with the first fully Spanish-language Latin residency on the Las Vegas Strip, further cementing their legacy as icons of Latin American music.
A Personal Connection
For some fans, the farewell is especially personal.
“My favorites are ‘Najayita,’ ‘Necesita una Campanera’ and ‘Quiéreme,’” said Emperatriz Alcazar of Los Angeles, a former dancer with the group. With a smile, she reflected on her time traveling and performing alongside the band. “It feels like family.”
As the final notes approach, the sense of gratitude is mutual. Marco Antonio Solís, along with Joel, Chivo, Roberto, Javier, Pepe and Pedro, have encouraged fans from across the United States and around the world to be part of these historic nights.
An Invitation to History
With the announcement of these final performances, Los Bukis have made it clear: this is the last chance to witness the reunion live. It is both a celebration and a farewell — an opportunity to sing along to the anthems that defined an era and to honor the promise of their tour title: “¡Tuyos por Siempre!” (Yours Forever).
As the curtain prepares to fall, one thing remains certain — though Los Bukis may be headed for the sunset, the soundtrack they created will echo for generations to come.
