The Los Angeles Rams unveiled two new alternate uniforms Thursday, introducing the “Classic Sol” and “Fearsome White” designs that pay tribute to some of the franchise’s most memorable eras.
According to the team, the new uniforms celebrate “two defining chapters in franchise history through modern design.”
The Classic Sol uniform honors the Rams’ 1951 NFL Championship and commemorates the 75th anniversary of that title. The design features a yellow-on-white jersey and pants combination. One of its most distinctive elements is a trio of sleeve stripes, while a special Sol monogram neck tag adds a unique touch that reflects the championship-inspired theme.
The Fearsome White uniform features an icy white color scheme and pays tribute to the Rams’ legendary “Fearsome Foursome” defensive line that dominated during the 1960s and early 1970s. The iconic group included Lamar Lundy, Rosey Grier, Merlin Olsen and Deacon “Head Slap” Jones.
The alternate uniform incorporates subtle design details, highlighted by ram horn-themed shoulder stripes that mirror the horns featured on the team’s classic helmets.
The new look also includes a matching alternate helmet, featuring a white ram horn set against a blue background. The design serves as a modern callback to the Rams’ helmets worn during the 1960s.
With the introduction of the Classic Sol and Fearsome White uniforms, the Rams continue to blend the franchise’s rich history with contemporary style, giving fans a fresh look while honoring some of the greatest moments and players in team history.
