Kyren Williams, the Rams‘ All-Pro running back, is currently the lead back. However, his injury history, including an ankle injury that sidelined him for four games last season and a left-hand injury that required surgery, leaves room for Corum to step up. The Rams drafted Corum as a contingency plan, and he appears ready to seize any opportunity that comes his way.

“Rookie Blake Corum impressed during an expanded opportunity because of Williams’ absence but the Rams are counting on Williams to repeat or surpass his 2023 performance, when he rushed for 1,144 yards and scored 15 touchdowns,” According to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times

Corum’s college performance in a high-powered offense suggests he can adapt well to head coach Sean McVay’s system. If Williams remains healthy, the duo could form a formidable one-two punch. But if injuries strike again, Corum might find himself in the spotlight sooner than expected.
