Tony Thurmond, California State Superintendent of Public Instruction, was one of several speakers highlighting the Annual Round-Up of Educational Leaders, hosted by the California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA), the Los Angeles County Alliance of Black School Educators (LACABSE) and the National Coalition on Education Equity (NCOEE) on September 9 in Los Angeles. More than 200 educators from throughout California participated in the day-long event.
