The Los Angeles Dodgers will be well represented at the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, with five players earning selections to the National League roster, tying for the most representatives in the league.
The Dodgers also led all of baseball with four fan-elected starters for the Midsummer Classic, which will be played July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani was the first Dodger selected after Phase 1 of fan voting. He was later joined by first baseman Freddie Freeman, third baseman Max Muncy and center fielder Andy Pages as National League starters. Right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto was selected to the pitching staff.
“It’s the first time in a long time that we’ve had four starters, as far as position players, start the All-Star Game, so that was great,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.
Roberts, who will manage the National League All-Stars, also believed several other Dodgers were deserving of consideration.
“I think that Justin Wrobleski’s had an All-Star-worthy half,” Roberts said. “I think Tanner Scott’s had an All-Star-worthy half. And you look at what Mookie Betts has done, as far as playing the position of shortstop, he’s had a great half as well.”
The selections continue a remarkable run of excellence for the Dodgers. This marks the seventh consecutive All-Star Game in which the club has had at least five representatives. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, that ties the 1942-49 St. Louis Cardinals for the third-longest streak in Major League history. Only the New York Yankees had longer runs, with 10 straight All-Star teams from 1956-65 and eight consecutive selections from 1936-43.
Ohtani, the top overall vote-getter in this year’s fan balloting, earned his sixth career All-Star selection as the National League’s starting designated hitter.
Freeman received his 10th career All-Star selection and will start at first base, while Muncy earned the starting nod at third base for his third career All-Star appearance. Muncy becomes the first Dodger to start at third base in the All-Star Game since Ron Cey in 1977.
Pages will make his first All-Star appearance after being voted the National League’s starting center fielder. Yamamoto, meanwhile, was selected to his second All-Star team after another outstanding season atop the Dodgers’ rotation.
The 2026 MLB All-Star Game will be played July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia as part of the nation’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
