The Mountain West Conference has announced its football players of the week, honoring standout performances from around the league.

Offensive Player of the Week – Jai’Den Thomas, UNLV
The Rebels’ ground game was unstoppable in a 45–14 win over Colorado State, racking up more than 300 rushing yards. Running back Jai’Den Thomas led the charge with 131 yards on just seven carries, including two runs of over 50 yards. Despite the limited touches, Thomas’ explosive playmaking left fans wondering if he’ll take on a larger workload as UNLV pushes toward postseason play.

Defensive Player of the Week – Brevin Hamblin, Utah State
Junior safety Brevin Hamblin had a career day in Utah State’s dominant 51–14 win over Nevada. Hamblin recorded eight tackles, a sack, and a pick-six, fueling an Aggies defense that kept their Mountain West title hopes alive.

Special Teams Player of the Week – Cam Barfield, Hawaii
Junior running back Cam Barfield made an immediate impact for Hawaii, returning the opening kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown in a statement win over San Diego State. His score gave the Rainbow Warriors an early 31–6 lead and sealed the victory.

Newcomer of the Week – Jackson Harris, Hawaii
Sophomore receiver Jackson Harris, a transfer from Stanford, continues to shine in his first season with the Rainbow Warriors. Harris caught seven passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns in Hawaii’s 38–6 win over San Diego State. His consistent production has positioned him as one of the conference’s top wideouts.

Freshman of the Week – Micah Alejado, Hawaii
Quarterback Micah Alejado added to his impressive freshman campaign with another strong outing against previously unbeaten San Diego State. He completed 22 of 34 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns, helping Hawaii stay hot in conference play. Alejado appears to be a lock for Mountain West Freshman of the Year — and he’s making a strong case for Offensive Player of the Year honors as well.
