The tool works entirely through text message. Business owners can send a quick text like “made $300 today” or “drove 25 miles for work,” and the system records the information, categorizes it, and keeps it ready for tax season. The platform is built specifically for solo business owners and freelancers, including barbers, hairstylists, lash technicians, mobile detailers, lawn care professionals, and other service-based workers who often handle their own books.
“Most small business owners didn’t get into their work to spend evenings figuring out spreadsheets,” a representative for Toozi said. “We built Toozi for the people who do the actual work — the ones who’d rather be with clients than buried in receipts.”
Toozi is built and operated by a team led by a tax professional with sixteen years of experience in corporate tax preparation. The platform is an IRS Authorized E-File Provider, meaning it is approved by the federal government to electronically file tax returns on behalf of its users.
