Veteran umpire Alan Porter served as crew chief and called balls and strikes during the 96th Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
Porter, 48, made his major league debut in 2010, joined the full-time major league umpiring staff in 2013 and was promoted to crew chief in 2023.
This marked his second All-Star Game assignment. He previously worked right field during the 2015 Midsummer Classic. Porter also has officiated three World Series, earning assignments in 2019, 2022 and 2025.
Joining Porter on the All-Star Game umpiring crew were Chris Conroy at first base, Chad Whitson at second base, Ryan Additon at third base, Adam Beck in left field and Edwin Moscoso in right field.
Vic Carapazza served as the video review umpire at Major League Baseball’s Replay Operations Center in New York.
