The Harold and Carole Pump Foundation (HCPF) brought stars, community leaders and major contributors together for a special evening at the Beverly Hills Hilton, raising funds and awareness in the fight against cancer.
The mission of the Harold and Carole Pump Foundation is to raise funds and create awareness for the treatment and cure of cancer. By engaging the community, sports leaders and those touched by the disease, the foundation provides financial support for cancer treatments, programs and services, as well as access to advanced medical technologies.
Honoring a Family Legacy
The Harold and Carole Pump Foundation was established in honor of a beloved father who courageously battled cancer until his passing in 2000 and a loving mother who passed away in 2012.
Inspired by their parents’ strength, compassion and legacy, brothers Dana and David Pump have dedicated themselves to making a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer. Through strong relationships and partnerships within the community, the brothers have helped turn their family’s experience with cancer into a lasting mission of service.
Denzel Washington Praises the Pump Brothers
The evening also featured heartfelt recognition of Dana and David Pump from actor Denzel Washington.
Speaking onstage with the Pump brothers, Washington praised their commitment to helping others while remaining humble about their contributions.
“These two men have done more for people while asking for less credit than anyone I know,” Washington said. “They have been very kind to me, to my family, to my children. I love them like they’re my brothers from another mother.”
The evening reflected the foundation’s continuing commitment to raising resources, building awareness and supporting the fight against cancer while honoring the legacy of Harold and Carole Pump.
