Michigan and Alabama are in town to take on each other in the 116th edition of the Rose Bowl. This year’s game also happens to be the Semi-Final for the College Football Play-Off. The SEC Champion vs, the Big Ten Champ.
Before the team s got down to business, they visited Disneyland for a parade and some fun. It was a chance to ‘let their hair down’ before putting on the pads.
“This is my first time at Disneyland,” said Michigan D-lineman Kris Jenkins. “I’m gonna’ see what it’s all about, everyone says it’s the happiest place on earth.”
Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe who was recently voted permanent captain along with linebacker Dallas Turner, and defensive back Malachi Moore all joined in for the fun. They were part of a Crimson Tide contingent that rode in horse-drawn carriages down Main Street, U.S.A. in Downtown Disneyland.
“We’ve got to soak in this experience because not too many people will be in this experience that we’re in,” Milroe said. “So we’ve got to soak up the day. It’s time to have some fun.”
There were buses leaving back to the team’s to their hotel at four, five and six o’clock. Harbaugh said, “I will be on the six o’clock bus.”
It was Michigan running back Blake Corum’s first chance there also. Perhaps the Walter Camp All-American summed things up the best “I’m a guy that likes joy and likes to feel good and that’s what its all about. It didn’t matter if you are an Alabama or Michigan people are here to enjoy themselves at the “Happiest Place on Earth.”
