‘Taste of the Rams’ Helps Serve Millions Across L.A.

As families across the country continue to feel the strain of rising food insecurity — worsened in recent weeks by disruptions to federal assistance programs — the role of local food banks has become even more critical. That urgency set the backdrop for the 10th Annual Taste of the Rams, held at SoFi Stadium, where the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank rallied supporters for its biggest night of the year.

Nearly 500 guests attended the culinary-driven fundraiser, helping raise close to $220,000 in support of the Food Bank’s network of more than 600 community partners serving individuals and families throughout Los Angeles County. The funds will help advance the Food Bank’s mission to alleviate hunger and strengthen food security for more than 1.1 million residents each month.

“It’s always inspiring to see our community come together around a cause that makes such a tangible difference,” said Andrew Whitworth, Rams Legend, Super Bowl LVI Champion, and 2021 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. “The fight against hunger is one we can all be part of, and I’m proud to stand alongside the Rams and the Food Bank to make that impact real.”

Whitworth served as emcee, guiding guests through an evening of elevated tasting experiences from some of Southern California’s most celebrated chefs. Among those serving up dishes were Steve Samson of Rossoblu and Superfine, as well as culinary icons Susan Feniger, Mary Sue Milliken, and Chef Fern of Socalo.

This is the fourth year the event has been hosted inside SoFi Stadium, the Rams’ home and one of the premier entertainment venues in the nation. The night also featured support from longtime Food Bank partners such as Don Lee Farms and Bank of America. Members of the Rams’ 2025 rookie class, the team’s cheerleaders, and mascot Rampage mingled with fans, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

“The dedication of our partners, the Rams, chefs, sponsors, and every guest fuels our ability to reach those who need us most,” said Michael Flood, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. “Their generosity ensures we can continue to nourish hope and provide meals to countless neighbors each month.”

Rams star Davante Adams, who attended the event, said his participation is personal.
“This type of event is close to me,” said Adams, an Oakland native. “As a youngster we had many struggles when it came to food at home.”

With food insecurity intensifying across the region, partnerships like Taste of the Rams remain a lifeline. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and its extensive network continue to deliver essential nutrition assistance to millions — and events like this help ensure that work can continue.
