The NBA recently announced that LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, March 31, through Sunday, April 6. This is Leonard’s 10th Player of the Week Award, and his fourth time winning with the Clippers.

The Clippers are currently tied for sixth place in the Western Conference.

During the week, Leonard led the Clippers to a perfect 4-0 record, behind averages of 24.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.75 steals, while shooting 51.3% (39-76) from the field, 38.1% (8-21) from three-point range and 85.7% (12-14) from the free-throw line. Leonard ranked second in the NBA in field goal percentage last week (min. 70 FGA). The Clippers were the only team in the West to go 4-0 last week, and won their games by a combined 79 points, the largest point differential in the NBA during that span.

The six-time All-Star recorded four 20-point performances last week and has now scored 20+ points in a season-high 12 straight games (3/11 – 4/5), his longest streak since 2021. On Wednesday, April 2 against New Orleans, Leonard led the Clippers to a 114-98 win with 28 points on 11-for-18 shooting, alongside three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. On Sunday, April 5 against Dallas, Leonard finished with 29 points on 12-for-19 shooting, along with six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in just 25:20 minutes.

In his 13th NBA season, the six-time All-NBA player has appeared in 34 games for the Clippers, averaging 21.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals, while shooting 49.6% from the field, 40.5% from the three-point range and 80.6% from the free-throw line. The Clippers have won 14 of their last 17 games and hold a 46-32 (.590) record on the season.
